Archie (born in 2017) was found with his siblings in the middle of nowhere when he was less than a month old. They all have grown up to be healthy dogs. Archie is one of the oldest now. He loves the attention. 

Bastian was saved her after being hit by a car. In Januari 2018 Dalida got a call from a man telling her that he saw a horrific wounded puppy. Her hind leg was completely torn apart. Also, she had complications after the operation. She has recovered and she is happy  and very playful now. 

Bastian got her name, because initially they though Bastian was a boy. Turned out he was a girl but the name was kept.

Bartje was found in 2022 together with his mum and 8 siblings in the woods.

Bella was saved as a puppy in 2017 after she had been hit by a car.Het hind leg ha been ripped off by a car.  She had extremely difficult operation but vets managed to save her leg. Her recovery took months but she has fully revcovered. Bella is now a happy and healthy dog. Months of therapies, medications, vet bills, sleepless nights have paid off.

Bess was saved from the streets when she was about five months old, she was scared, traumatised and had a deformed front leg. Although her leg is a bit shorter by the deforming, she can use it as normal. Bess has recovered from her trauma’s and she now belongs to the oldies at Usko’s Nest. 

Bibi is very friendly and very active girl. She is very playful girl. Back in 2017 we saved her when she was a lost, skinny puppy without mum. 

Brka was saved in Ilijas in December 2014, so she belongs to the oldies at Usko's Nest. She had many health issues when she was rescued, but she recovered.

Bonnie is such a sweet and lovely girl. She is very shy and stays on a distance with people. 

Candy was saved when she was abandone as a tiny puppy on a busy street. She was weak and starving at the time. Now she has grown into a lovely mountain dog. She is one of our seniors, born in 2018

Chapi was found as a puppy without a mum. He turned into a large mountain-type of dog, He was born in 2017 and still going strong. He is like a teddy bear.

Cherry was saved from a hole where she lived while she was sick. She had operations on both her eyes, and she has fully recovered. 

Cupko was also saved when he was a puppy. He was so small that we had to feed him with a bottle. He managed to survive and has grown up a lot.

Cura is a beautiful and pure breed sarplaninac. She was only 5 months old when she was found in 2014. She was the only female dog in her pack and beause of that her previous owner abandoned her. After she had been abandoned in Trnovo, a big dog attacked her. Her eye was badly injured by that attack and she was frightened. She belongs now to the old ladies at Usko's Nest.

Dea..She is a Malinois shepherd mix and one of our many seniors. She was born in 2014

Jack was hit by a car, ending up with a broken hind leg in 2021. 

Janje was found together with his brothers Dabo and Cupko in the middle of nowhere in 2014. They were only little puppies and without their mum. This is unfortunately a common habit in Bosnia. Janje suffers from skin problems. He can be a bit bossy every now and then. 

Johny was saved as a puppy when he was chased by dog catchers. He is all grown up now and one of our (many) seniors.

Loecka was saved as an adult. Not only that Loecka was injured, but he was badly sick when we saved him. He was dying. However, we didn’t give up and he has recovered.

Lucky was hit by a car and both front legs were broken and he was traumatised by that experience. He was operated and external fixators were placed but due to complications he suffered from an infection. After months of recovery, he started walking. He runs and plays on four legs but when he isn’t moving he still prefers to stand in with one of his legs pulled up. 

Luka was saved when he was a puppy. He is also one of the bosses at the shelter but he is a playful and outgoing boy. 

Mala Zuta

Mandy has gone through a lot. When she was saved, her front leg was completely torn because it had been caught in an animal trap. After the operation she had complications but she has managed to recover. 

Mandy is partially sponsored, but she could use another sponsor. 

Mico was found in 2016 by Dalida's dad. Mico was abandoned in front of a shopping centre. He is one of the oldies and he needs constant vet care and medications due to chronic health issues. In 2017 he suddenly couldn't walk. He completely stopped moving and his hind legs were paralysed. After veterinary treatments, vitamines and medications he recovered but got in 2019 some type of urinary infection which made him quite sick. He loves to be with young dogs like Wolf, Mirko and Nemirko.

Mirko, together with his brother Nemirko, was left in a bucket in our garden when they were babies, after obviously they had been separated from their mum.

Molly was wandering, alone, in the woods and was fed by Dalida because she was malnourished. Now Molly is safe at the shelter. 

In 2017 Mona was found together with her sister Mila, at a garbage dump. They were frozen and hungry. They also suffered from demodex. Unfortunately Mila died June 2023 of diabetes and kidney failure.

Mrvika was a tiny puppy that was hiding under a container while it was heavily raining. I managed to save her and she has grown up with us

Naila was found in the middle of nowhere with her puppies. She was completely starved, exhausted and scared.

Nemirko, together with his brother Mirko, was left in a bucket in our garden when they were babies, after obviously they had been separated from their mum.

Niho was a young and strong rescue. We found him on the streets when he  was only 6 monhs old. He was  exhausted and starved. 

Now he is one of our seniors. 

Ola was rescued from the middle of nowhere when she was a puppy. She was extremely scared and traumatised, hide herself constantly under the car. Her recovery has last for months and she still is afraid of many things. But look at her, how happy she is now.

Olivia was extremely skinny and starved when she was saved in February 2020. She was in a bad condition and ha wounds all over her body. Her recovery took a long time, but she turned into a lovely dog. Due to gastrointestinal problems she still occasionally gets vet care.

Pasa was saved after being used for dog fights five years ago. He was in a bad condition and injured. After that he developed a serious spine condition that was treated for months but he recovered. Pasa is fully socialised and an oldie.

Pikachu, once a very active, cute little fluffy ball, who  loved playing with other dogs when he was young. Pikachu was so small when he was saved, that he could stand in Dalida's hand. Now he is one of the seniors.

Pirga was found as a pup, wandering all alone in the streets. She once was a very active and outgoing girl. . She has also grown up with us.  Now she is a senior.

Princess was saved after some friends from Holland asked to help her and her puppies. They all were in a bad condition and in a very nasty part of the country. Her puppies are with Dalida's friends and Princess is at the shelter.

Rue is an adorable looking young girl. She was saved on the streets from a deliberate attack of someone's dog as the owner stirred his dog up to fight with Rue. But Rue was just a scary baby and wouldn't have lived now if Dalida hadn't been there at that time to save her. 

Sivka was found wandering in the streets on three legs, back in 2016. As her front leg was already amputated in a professional way, it will always be a mystery what happened to Sivka and why she ended on the streets. She is now a happy dog and in charge at Usko's Nest, she is a boss of the shelter and the only dog that spends time with all groups of dogs. Sivka also supervises all activities at the shelter. She is a sweetheart and an old lady.
