With so many animals in our care, some of our residents need a little extra love and special attention.
Some of our dogs have sensitive stomachs and digestive problems, which means they need special food to stay healthy and happy. Without the right care, vet visits can quickly become necessary.
Every year, all of our dogs and cats also need protection against fleas and worms to keep them safe and comfortable. These treatments are an important part of their care and are always greatly appreciated.
A few of our dogs also rely on monthly medication, which means ongoing veterinary costs for the sanctuary.
Caring for these animals is only possible with the kindness and support of people like you. Any help, big or small, truly makes a difference in their lives.
There are three types of medications:
- medications for emergency cases such as injuries, unexpected diseases
- medications for animals with chronic conditions
- medications for animals that are treated for some condition

Every year the health Department in Bosnia requires that the dogs get their Rabies vaccin. There are 70 dogs in the sanctuary.
In July we need 50 vaccinations and in August we need another 20 vaccinations.
